You’ve put so much time and effort into perfecting your craft — so it’s beyond frustrating when you still can’t let go and be in the moment when it counts. Whether it’s crippling performance anxiety or that panic when there’s too much to practice in too little time, too often the situation is controlling you instead of the other way around.
You don’t deserve to be so frustrated, so I want to give you something you can use right away. Download your free copy of 5 Reasons Why Tension Is Your Friend when you sign up for the newsletter.
PRACTICE DOESN’T MAKE PERFECT
I’ve been there.
After finishing my masters, I kept practicing intensively, trying my best to improve, while I watched my friends get contracts and win auditions. I thought I just had to practice more and I’d get there too, but every time I failed an audition, my inner critic would tell me I wasn’t getting anywhere.
I was desperate. Having moved my life to Europe to chase my dreams, failure was not an option. I spent all my money on lessons and masterclasses with top musicians, immersed myself in audition prep, and turned down countless nights out with friends to practice for more mock auditions. It felt like I had tried everything. I would do anything if I just knew what it was.
“SOMEONE ACTUALLY KNOWS THIS STUFF?”
Solutions for the whole musician
Just when I thought I couldn’t take it anymore, I started finding answers that clicked. I learned how to do things I thought only talented people could do. My mission with Effortless Musician is to make sure you don’t lose any more time to unnecessary struggle, self-doubt, and methods that only get you halfway. I want to get you on the highway to high-level performance.
Imagine how it would feel if you could:
walk into an audition knowing you’re about to nail it
consistently play with a great sound
practice so that your progress sticks
get better technique with less struggle
feel more secure so you keep your focus on the music
reduce the frustration of getting back in shape after time off
prevent injury by playing in a healthy, sustainable way
THIS IS WHAT EMPOWERMENT SOUNDS LIKE
“Your lessons have helped me understand how to become free from unnecessary physical tension and use the natural balance points when I play; the result is effortlessness and a deeper, more resonant sound.”
Marie Macleod, solo cello, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic
“I had been taking auditions for years, and I knew there was something missing in my tone, but Christine helped me finally understand more of the mechanics… I had the job I had been trying to get for years within a couple months.”
Rebecca McFarland, clarinet, US Army Ceremonial Band
“… the accessibility and relevance of the exercises far exceeded what I dared to expect from a single workshop.””
Susanja Nielsen, solo viola Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Sweden
“It's like a "behind the scenes" explanation of things like posture, breathing, support, and stability — things that teachers have been trying to explain since we started making music, but which can be so hard to explain clearly, and so easy to misunderstand.”
Marianne Clement, flute, Denmark
“I was guided through a simple exercise that got me quickly and easily out of years and years of shoulder confusion and chronic discomfort.”
Christine Moulton, Assoc. Professor of Flute, Mansfield University, USA
“This is a great way to balance your body out before starting to work. All your stiffness in your body, bones, and fascia will be gone. I love it!”
student at Complete Vocal Institute, Denmark
NO MORE WONDERING IF YOU’RE DOING IT RIGHT
